Day 21
Well, here I am, three weeks postop and I have to say, I still have very light bruising under my left eye and on the right side of my chin, where I bruised badly. Fortunately, I'm at a stage where I can easily cover up the light bruising with a little concealer. The swelling seems to have gone down considerably in the last week and I'm a little closer to "The Prize". My jawline and neck are gorgeous! And even with the bruising and swelling, I still look pretty natural (Dr. Lev's forte!) and not like I just had a facelift. Yes, that's Dr. Lev's special talent..to make everyone look natural almost from the get-go.
I'm feeling great and tomorrow I leave for home to continue the healing process. I can't wait to get my roots done. It's been almost four weeks and I'm waiting one more week after I get home. Dr. Lev recommends waiting at least five weeks before having the hair colored.
It's been a great trip. I'll be back in November with a small group. By then I should be almost 100% healed.
I'm looking forward to November in Costa Rica. It's the rainy season and I just love the lightning and thunder and the heavy torrential downpours. The air is electric and to me, it's the perfect environment for healing.
It'll be nice getting back to taking care of others as they go through this journey.

Those nasty bruises under my left eye (upper left cheek) and on the right side of my chin are still visible but are, thankfully, at a point where they can easily be covered up with concealer.
YAY! The underside of my neck and chest are almost completely healed. The small dot just under my chin is from where Dr. Lev inserted the canula for the lipo.
