Flying Home

Dr. Lev recommends these five things to do while flying at all times, but particularly after surgery, when you're on your way home. He says that sitting without moving the body for hours at a time can trigger a blood clot. So, please add this to your list of "things to do" whenever you're planning your trip to go see Dr. Lev. This is very good advice for travellers in general.

While flying.....

  • Drink one glass of water every hour.
  • Don't drink alcohol or caffeine.
  • Flex and point your toes a few times hourly.
  • Get up and walk the length of the plane hourly.
  • Wear compression socks.
