Day 2
Well, truth be told, I don't remember all that much about Day Two. I don't remember much about anything that transpired over the last two days. I'm telling you...thanks to that shot of Dormicum (which in the states is called Versed) I forgot everything from ten minutes after I received the shot until sometime later that night, to after my surgery, to after my two and a half hours in Recovery, to after being back in my room for who knows how many hours. I LOVE that Dormicum! It makes having surgery a breeze. You literally don't remember a thing from long before you're taken into the O.R. to long after you've returned to your room from Recovery (at least that's the way it works for me!). They used to only use that drug for children before their surgeries..and then they realized that we're all scared of surgery no matter what our age, so they started giving it to us "grownups" too, thankod!!
The next morning following surgery, I vaguely remember Dr. Lev coming into my room as Anabelle, my dear friend and coordinator of our english speaking private duty nurses, was preparing to leave after she spent the last twelve hours at my side overnight.
I vaguely remembered visits by Dr. Lev's wife Patty and the daughter of the dentists (Nadine) and I think I remember when Ofelia, the head of P.R. at the Cima Hospital brought me a huge bouquet of flowers and somewhere in there I can see Carol Veloso, the Cima Hospital Administrator bringing me more big flowers.....and then I sort of remember Eugenia and one other physical therapist from the P.T. department at the hospital come in and massage my feet, arms and shoulders. Thankod I had my camera with me and people took pictures of everything that went on from the moment I received the shot of Dormicum until the moment I was picked up to go back to the Villa Plenitud Recovery Facility.
Once I got back to the Villa Plenitud, I slowly walked with Jennifer's assistance (Jennifer is one of the staff members of the Villa Plenitud) to room 9 where I would live for the next twelve days.
I remember Dr. Lev stopping by on his way home (the Villa Plenitud is wonderfully close to Dr. Lev's home, which is a big big plus, let me tell you) to check on me and I think I remember telling him something like, %$* ^%#%&^*^$%F*^%^$^%%^!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I can't be absolutely sure.

Back in my room, Patty Guerra, Dr. Lev's wife, came to visit me. I only remember her visit vaguely. Thank heavens for the camera!.

Dr. Lev checks me early the next morning (Day Two). I beg him to remove the vise bandage cuz it's really bothering me bigtime. Of course I know I have to wait three days!!.

Later in the day after I returned to the Villa Plenitud. See how the bruising has worsened? Yes, it gets worse before it gets better...but it DOES GET BETTER so don't worry.

This is my sweet little Nadine Cordero, daughter of my dentists Telma Rubinstein and Josef Cordero. She and her sister Nicole are my precious sweeties, along with the Lev's two boys, Eduardo and Adrian. I barely remember Nadini's visit, so I thank heavens for this photo.
