Well, I woke up this morning hoping that, like ten years ago (facelift#1) on Day 14 all the bruises on my face would be gone. But guess what? There they are.still there, clear as a bell. Dr. Lev says I've bruised as badly as can be this time around. He reminded me that I'm ten years older now and my body is different (yea, doc, tell me something I DON'T know!!)

It's amazing to see how differently everyone heals from the same exact surgery. I've seen people who've barely bruised and others who've bruised badly.like me. There are those who swell a great deal and others who hardly swell at all. Some people show scars and others don't. It's definitely up to the individual how they will heal. I guess this time around I'm a "BRUISER"!

So, at this rate, I'm wondering if these bruises will even go away by Day 21. The good news is, I know that eventually, it will disappear, but, like every patient, I'm feeling the frustration of the long wait for that "Prize".

I will say, however, that I can already see how gorgeous my neck is going to be. It's still swollen and bruised, but I can definitely see Dr. Lev's brilliant handiwork. He just has a way with necks, that man!
