Hospital CIMA San José is located in San José, Costa Rica and has medical and surgical patient units, an intensive care unit, and a neonatal intensive care unit.
This three-story hospital was constructed with two main levels. The first level includes a large outpatient medical department with a variety of advanced diagnostic and treatment services and modalities, including chemotherapy and hemodialysis; a radiology department with multiple current modalities and space for future expansion; an emergency department complete with a trauma room, treatment stations, private exam and consultation rooms; and, a fully equipped modern surgery department and recovery facility.
Most patient rooms are private and seven have adjoining suites. Adjacent to the hospital is a seven-story medical office building.
The ground level of this building houses the hospital's physical therapy facilities, a plastic surgery practice, a spa, and several retail services. The remaining six levels house private physician offices. Its exterior design uses traditional construction materials, colors, and elements reflective of Spanish-colonial architecture, with a blending of high-technology details. CIMA San José’s construction conveys a sense of tradition, trust and stability while also showcasing the high level of medical technology used throughout the entire complex.
