How Things Work - Planning Your Surgery

In case you’re wondering…. there are no extra charges or costs for my assistance with your booking or planning your amazing “Costa Rican Plastic Surgery” adventure.

I am here for you as a gift from Dr. Lev to his patients so they get the attention they want and need from someone who cares about them and wants to help them through their entire Costa Rican journey.

Dr. Lev is a very busy man, as you might expect, and between surgeries and seeing patients in his office, not to mention seeing patients in the hospital, he often doesn’t have time to answer emails and questions expeditiously. And that’s where I come in.

On behalf of Dr. Lev, I answer your emails quickly and will serve as your personal cheerleader, support person and question answerer. If you have questions that I cannot answer myself, I will get the answers by calling Dr. Lev and speaking with him personally on your behalf.

And if you should want to book a date for surgery, please email me and I will find a date for you.

Once you choose a date, we will hold that date for you without obligation (courtesy hold) for two weeks. In that two week period you will need to make a $1000 non-refundable deposit into Dr. Lev's bank account and also you will need to fill out the Dr's Questionnaire and send it in. Once that deposit is verified (you will need to email Didi your receipt for the transaction), and the questionnaire filled out, Didi will officially book your surgery with Dr. Lev and the hospital or clinic.

If you don't make the deposit or fill out the questionnaire within two weeks, your date will automatically be reassigned to another patient and you will have to start again.

Postponement of Surgery

If you've made the deposit into Dr. Lev's bank account and have to postpone your surgery you will be able to transfer your deposit to another date, but only one time and only if it is done BEFORE a month prior to your held date.

If you cancel or postpone your surgery within a month prior to your surgery you will lose your deposit and you will not be able to transfer it to another date.

Please note that Dr. Lev only allocates a few dates in each month of the year to book patients who are not Costa Rican residents.

So when a patient waits to postpone until it's too late to book another patient in the date that they have held on to for weeks or months, they are depriving another patient of that date and Dr. Lev loses the business.

That is why if you cancel or postpone inside of a month prior to your surgery you lose your deposit and do not get to take another date without another deposit.

So, to re-cap. Once you hold a date, we'll keep it for you without obligation (a courtesy hold) for two weeks pending receipt of a deposit plus a filled-out preOp form (also known as the Dr's questionnaire).
